This policy explains what personal data Bali Medika collects through this website, why we collect it, who it reaches, and what rights you have over it. We have written it in plain language because the information involved is sensitive and you deserve to understand it without a lawyer.
The short version. We only collect what you type into the appointment form. We use it to arrange your visit and nothing else. We never sell it, never advertise to you based on it, and never share it with anyone outside the people who handle your booking and your care.
Klinik Pratama Bali Medika ("Bali Medika", "we", "us") is a licensed private HIV and STI clinic operating in Indonesia since 2010.
We are the data controller for the information described here, as defined by Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27/2022, "UU PDP").
We collect only what you choose to enter in the appointment request form. Nothing on this page collects data about you silently.
Knowing your gender lets the doctor prepare the right tests before you arrive — screening needs genuinely differ — which means less explaining in the room and a shorter visit. The KTP question exists only to determine which pricing applies to you. We do not ask about your sexual orientation or your sexual partners on this form. If you would rather not answer either question, write to us instead and we will arrange your appointment without them.
We process this data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before submitting the form. Because the form includes specific personal data under UU PDP, explicit consent is the appropriate and required basis.
You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing contact@balimedika.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place, and it may mean we can no longer arrange your appointment.
We do not use it for marketing, we do not build advertising audiences from it, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone. Ever.
Your submission is emailed to the clinic. In getting there it passes through a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf:
Beyond these providers and the clinic staff who handle your booking and care, nobody else receives your information. We do not disclose it to third parties except where Indonesian law obliges us to.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read.
This choice is deliberate. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track individuals across websites. We see anonymous, aggregate traffic patterns — never who you are or what you looked at personally. On a sexual-health website, conventional tracking would be an unacceptable risk to visitors, so we do not use it.
We do not run advertising pixels, remarketing tags, or behavioural profiling of any kind on this site.
We may add Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the form from automated abuse. Turnstile is designed as a privacy-preserving alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs: it verifies that a submission comes from a real person without tracking you across the web and without requiring you to solve puzzles. It processes limited technical signals from your browser purely to distinguish humans from bots.
Appointment enquiries are retained only as long as needed to arrange and follow up on your visit, and then for the period Indonesian medical record-keeping rules require where you became a patient. Enquiries that do not lead to an appointment are deleted once they are no longer relevant. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.
Under UU PDP you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email contact@balimedika.com. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
This website and its appointment form are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data through this site from anyone under 18 without the involvement of a parent or guardian as required by Indonesian law.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we handle your data will be reflected here before they take effect.
